Tim Bauer and O.P. Almaraz of Restoration Mastery and Allied Restoration speak about the importance of fit for new employees. They also discuss training for owners and the importance of a value-driven business.
Tim Bauer and O.P. Almaraz are doing exactly what we all need to do once we’ve reached a certain point in our careers: giving back. Educating our peers and sharing hard-earned wisdom is what we should do, but too often don’t.
These two inspired me with their true-life rags to riches stories and their desire to show others how to follow them into success. After spending years working in the everyday drudge of restoration that we all know (and love?), they decided to take back the reigns of their company and change the destiny of every employee.
Intentionally moving away from so-called “program” work is so scary, that most of us would never consider it. But refocusing a company culture and direction has proved to be exactly what they needed. Now, with their company clearly on a sharp upward trajectory, Tim and O.P. want to teach others to do the same. And provide some heavy encouragement along the way.
Personally I’m looking forward to seeing what the Restoration Mastery’s Disaster Restoration Institute has to offer our industry.
